We share the good news on the streets through poetry, music and preaching. Our aim is to make the message accessible to all who are spiritually hungry and thirsty.

We provide food vouchers to the physically hungry and clothe those who are naked by providing clothing vouchers and a shower when possible. We also pray for the sick.

We don’t want to stop there.

We aim to help those who are in need of shelter by either signposting them to relevant housing providers or to place them temporarily in B&Bs.

Our goal is to eventually set up a prison ministry where we can support prisoners through visits and being there for them upon release.

We aim to be the hands and feet of Jesus on the streets wherever He leads us. This is Jesus Street.

What is Jesus Street?

How did Jesus Street start?

Jesus Street is a Christian non-profit ministry established in 2020 by street evangelist John Nelson during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Witnessing the growing anxiety and fear across the UK and the world, we recognised the urgent need for boldly sharing the gospel of hope.

As churches faced closures and restrictions shifted services online, a strong conviction emerged to take the gospel beyond traditional boundaries. Inspired by my prior experience of evangelism in Tenerife, the urgency to spread the good news intensified.

Amidst the rapid closures of churches and media-driven panic, we chose to focus on faith over fear. Shifting our attention from the news to the Word of God, we endeavoured to provide a source of hope rather than contributing to the prevailing anxiety.

Facing initial challenges in taking the gospel to the streets due to pandemic restrictions, God's guidance became evident as we connected with like-minded Christians.

We persevered, leading to a shift in dynamics when restrictions lifted, allowing Jesus Street to make a meaningful impact through the Holy Spirit.

The journey so far has been marked by incredible instances of healing, deliverance, and numerous individuals accepting Jesus on the streets and being baptised. Through prayer, preaching, worship, dance, and poetry, we engage with people, viewing this ministry as an ever-evolving work in progress.

We anticipate that God will continue to work in extraordinary ways. Our approach involves expecting the unexpected and preparing ourselves to be vessels fit for the Master's use (2 Timothy 2:20). Partnering with God, we acknowledge the honour and privilege of being in co-partnership with the Most High.

We recognise the need for more workers in the field and invite believers to join us in the mission of street evangelism.

If you feel the Holy Spirit's prompt to evangelise with Jesus Street,
please contact us through our website.

Your participation would not only be impactful but also an answer to prayer (Matthew 9:38).

We're excited to see what God has planned next through Jesus Street. We're filled with the anticipation of even greater impact,
where the power of God will be evident, shown, and known.

May God's blessings be upon you all.
